Goal Setting

Hello there beautiful people đź’›

Can you believe it, 2.5 months till the end of the year!?! Has anyone else felt that 2018 has been like a rollercoaster? But then when I think about it, isn’t each year like that? I used to think '“next year, next year will be better” … then I get to the next year and it has the same amount of up’s and down’s as the year before. I have now come to believe, this is just life.

So I’ve had a shift with my perspective on how I view my life. I have fallen back in love with my life, the rollercoaster of Kirsty. If I didn’t have the dips, I wouldn’t 100% appreciate the up’s. For every challenging growth of my life, I am a better person. We need polarity in life. Night - Day. Up - Down. Inhaling - Exhaling. When you are in the uncomfortable spaces of your life, change your thought patterns. Instead of thinking “Why is this happening TO me” … change it to “Why is this happening FOR me?”

Understand that life is challenging and it’s not always going to work out how we planned. Working with the tough stuff instead of against it will help you plan your goals and change direction when needed. Making your dreams come to life isn’t easy, it’s hard … but so worth it.

Planning out your goals and checking in on a weekly basis is so important. Here are a few good tips for planning out your goals.

  • How far is the gap from where you are now to where you want to be? You can have one BIG goal, but you may need a handful of small goals to get there.

  • Think of a time where you have achieved something, what did you do to achieve this? Draw on your own strengths from previous wins to achieve your new goal.

  • What support network do you have around you? Communicating your goals to friends and family can really help you achieve great things. How can they help you?

  • What do you have going on in your life? Does this affect your goal and time frames? Understanding where you are at and what life events are going on can help you plan.

  • Be inspired! Put up a picture, set a reminder in your phone or put up post it notes. Anything you can do to remind you every day of your goal or why you want to make the change.

You can change anything in your life. But it takes planning and commitment.

This is why I love doing what I do! Helping people break down their limiting beliefs around what they can and can’t achieve. Understand what’s been holding them back. Working through steps on how to achieve their goals. Being a cheerleader for them when times are hard.

You alone walk your path, set your goals and learn your lessons. That doesn’t mean someone on the path next to you can’t be helping and cheering you on!
